Bismarck Public School District's goals for mathematics education are for students to:
• Learn to value mathematics
• Become confident in their own ability
• Become a mathematical problem solver
• Learn to communicate mathematically
• Learn to reason mathematically
This resource was designed to help administrators, teachers, specialists, after-school facilitators, parents, students, and other stakeholders accomplish the above mentioned goals. The resources on these pages are consistent with our district methodology and are believed to be of value to students who are ready to learn the information associated with a particular level. There are two ways in which you may search this database: (1) RIT range - RIT is a student proficiency range that results from the district assessment or (2) by benchmark area - as associated with grade and North Dakota State Standard.

At the most basic level, this site can be used to determine what a student should know and do by the end of his/her current grade-level. Of course, if a student is working below or beyond grade-level as indicated by quarter grades, assessment results, observations, etc. then adjustments should be made to look at resources that either remediate or extend. Together, our goal for each and every student is one full-year's worth of learning.
